Miracles don’t happen – you have to recognise them

In the new age field there is a lot of talk about miracles and how you can manifest them.

“Manifest your future”, they say. “If you don’t ask, you don’t get.”

The law of attraction – a buzz word.

‘The Secret’ – a movie that promises to give the key to everything you ever wanted.

I don’t agree.

The thing is:

We only hear about the successes.

People don’t talk about when it doesn’t work.

If they do – well, they get told they are not doing it right.

They are worse off than they were at the beginning.

They failed – and there is no support system available.

There is another thing:

It might sound crazy, but manifesting things in that way is very limited, even if you’re successful with it.

When you imagine your wildest dreams, when you ask for something to happen, you have to totally believe in it.

To the exclusion of everything else.

This can only be done with the conscious mind – a very small part of us.

You are caught up in preconceived ideas.

So, what can we we do instead?

First of all, a miracle doesn’t just happen.

It’s an opportunity coming your way.

You need to be able to recognise this opportunity and accept it as a gift.

Gifts don’t always come the way you imagined them.

Opportunities have all shapes and forms.

You are so much bigger than your conscious mind.

So, I suggest that you get out there, and keep your eyes open for all the good stuff that comes your way, anyway.

Recognise the gifts that life has in store for you.

How?

Relaxation is a good place to start.

Sit in place where you feel comfortable – maybe it’s your sofa, maybe your back porch, maybe it’s in a cafe.

Watch the world go by – either in your mind, or out on the street.

With awareness.

Without judgment.

Recognise when somebody smiles at you.

Smile back.

A little miracle has just happened.

Becoming more aware of opportunities is like training a muscle. The more you do it, the better you get at it.

So, there is some work to be done here.

I can help you mend – help prepare the ground for good things to happen in your life.
