05 Feb On the road – life is a continuum
THIS is why the following story will matter to you.
The house is filling up with boxes
Our stuff going in there
The storage space is booked
Getting things ready
To go on the road for a while.
We’re going to where it draws us – and staying where it keeps us.
Work where work is – and on-line.
Email, Skype, mobile phone, data download, a laptop – what else is needed?
Not much really.
We have a great camper trailer with a king size bed and a little kitchen, a good 4WD, a car fridge, a Webber barbie, solar panels a geni …
Things are in movement. Living a nomadic life for a while.
When we’re telling people of our plans, they want to come too – but don’t.
I wonder why.
They say they can’t. Too many commitments.
So, they stay put.
I’ve heard wise people say:
The only thing that doesn’t change in life is birth and death.
In between – constant change.
So why are many people afraid of change – not packing up the house when something is telling them to do?
I agree, it’s not easy. We like our comfort.
Being settled gives us a sense of security.
But it can also become stale.
Like the cells in our body we need to renew ourselves – our mind and spirit as well.
If we don’t, we’re dead before we die.
Like the plants that grow, flower, fruit and seed – we also need to renew ourselves.
Who said we need to retire?
Just as with the weather, we can’t precisely predict our future.
Yes, we can see trends, but what we do with this information is our own choice.
Living moment to moment…
Now, are you maybe jealous – eager to do something similar?
Or, maybe excited for us – but held back in some way or other?
You see, there has never been a better time than now to do that change you have been longing for.
So, grab the opportunity. It’s waiting for you.
If you’re ready – and you’d like some help with it, get in touch with me. I’m here to help you make the best out of your life (wherever I am).
